Carl Albanus Johnson, maker of the Albanus guitar, was a Swedish immigran America who began as a violin maker. He IS thought to have learned guitar-making with Elmer Stromberg and began burlding arch-tops in the 1950s. His instruments were built to order and he made only about a hundred in his lifetime.
