CHANDLER

Originally a supplier of guitar components, based in California, Chandler expanded Operations in 1991 to include complete instruments. These included custom-built examples and a selection of standard production models initially offered in kit form. Additions to the fully-assembled line in the following year included the Rickenbacker-like 555 and the ultra-offset Austin Special. This single-cutaway solidbody equipped with lipstick pickup was based on a guitar originally made for Keith Richards by U.S. luthrer Ted Newman-Jones. Current models include the 555, the Futurama, and the Metro Baritone, along With a twelve-string bass and several lap steels.
